We raise seasonal chickens, ducks, and heritage turkeys in a free-range pastured environment in upstate NY where they have plenty of space and enjoy natural grasses, worms, and bugs.
Because we to strive eat food that is local, naturally raised, and well treated, Jenny Jo started raising chickens for eggs and meat for our family. She enjoyed the birds and decided to expand to turkeys and ducks and make a small business out of it.
If you're interested in local healthy foods, be aware that not all "free-range" birds get to be in a spacious pasture and just because food is "organic" doesn't mean the bird ever saw the light of day or ate any natural foods. Look closely at the environment your food is raised in if it is important to you. The pictures we have on our website accurately reflect the environment we raise our birds in.
